ABOUT PDRA The Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) is the world’s premier eighth-mile drag racing series featuring competition in professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster categories. The series holds national events at some of the most respected and beloved venues in drag racing, primarily up and down the East Coast. The PDRA began in 2014 as a series built and run for racers, by racers with an ownership group that included several drivers and team owners. Today, two of the original partners, Tommy and Judy Franklin, serve as the sole owners. PDRA racers are widely considered among the most competitive drivers and teams in their respective categories. From the headlining Pro Modified categories, Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost, to the weekend warriors competing in the sportsman ranks and the sport’s rising stars in the Jr. Dragster classes, the PDRA is home to racers who hold themselves to a high standard and expect nothing but the best from themselves, their competitors, the places they race, and the products they use. While competition is a priority in the PDRA, it is not the only guiding principle. Since the beginning, the PDRA has existed as a family-focused organization. Two and even three generations of drag racers can often be found racing together at the same event. The PDRA fosters a family-friendly environment for both racers and spectators, from free coloring pages at the PDRA Fan Zone on the midway to special graduation ceremonies celebrating the graduating high school seniors in the series each year. In 2023, the PDRA announced Red Line Oil as its first series title sponsor. The 2024 season marked the first year as the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series.
